1956 – Bay Chemical Products was founded to provide Aerospace, food industry, canning, electroplating industry companies with custom formulated chemical solutions.
1986 – Company changed hands and has been operating under the same management for 23 years. The name was changed to Baychem.
1987 – Streamlined the operation to serve customers better by outsourcing much of the mainstream chemical manufacturing and focus on specific requirements of a few strategic customers.
1990 – Expanded operations and moved into new offices in Redwood City. This is the current headquarters of Baychem.
2000 – Business was expanded to include 4 chemical storage and packaging locations around the Bay Area. Revenues increased five-fold over this period.
2008 – Further expansion of services to provide chemical inventory management for small and medium sized businesses as well as expanding supply chain to provide customers with best pricing and lead times.
2008 – Exclusive distributorship agreement established with Caledon Labs.
2010 - Accomplished ISO 9001:2008 certification.
